Hi Ann
Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you enjoyed reading the presentation that was on the CDRom from the European congress.

It is interesting that there are a number of tools that could really help distance students but as many academics (thus supervisors) don't appear to know about them, then the use of the tools are not shared! We are trying to use the tools more with our hons/masters students to support their learning of research.

Look forward to hearing more about how your group finds the use of the tools.

Hello Merrolee

I have just finished reading your paper from the COTEC CD-ROM. (We met in Hamburg but I wasnt able to get to your presentation). I found it fascinating and inspiring. Although I am currently a remote student and did a lot of my masters work remotely, I was not aware of all the tools and applications.
Blogging is completely new to me, but I can see how useful it might be for me in building up a community of fellow OTs/researchers.
Thankyou for a motivating paper - I really enjoyed meeting you and wish I had seen your presentation. Hope your work in England goes well
Ann

PS
I have followed up your tip re LJ Millers "How to develop a standardised assessment in 23 000 easy steps" and am definitely going to suggest to my group that we use google documents.
